Startup Equs Inc. has introduced Equs X, a personal AI platform designed to let users maintain full control over their data. The system utilizes private storage managed by the user, ensuring that the AI model only accesses files explicitly permitted by the owner through a toggle switch.
Unlike traditional AI services that store information on provider servers, Equs X keeps learned data in the user's own storage. Access can be revoked instantly, preventing the need for deletion requests. The platform also provides a daily brief based on scheduled tasks and updates from the user's personal data store.
The company also launched the Equs Developer Toolkit, which supports industry-standard protocols for issuing and verifying digital credentials for people, organizations, and AI agents. The toolkit is currently available in private beta by invitation only.
The Equs X platform is scheduled to open later this month. Users can join a waitlist for access, with the service being free for the first 90 days of use.
