At the Dell Technologies AI Leadership Symposium, industry experts highlighted the growing challenges of managing autonomous AI agents in enterprise environments. As these agents operate continuously across various platforms, traditional software controls are proving insufficient for modern runtime governance.

Shiv Agarwal, CEO of Singulr AI, emphasized the need to align enterprise intent with actual runtime behavior. Singulr AI has expanded its governance capabilities to monitor local AI tools on employee endpoints, tracking actions such as unauthorized internet access or data transmission to private accounts.

Sri Viswanath, CEO of Sycamore Labs, noted that many CIOs are restricting agent operations to virtual private clouds to maintain data security. This architectural approach aims to prevent sensitive information from leaving controlled environments, addressing concerns over data privacy and visibility.

The discussion also touched on the necessity for standardized governance frameworks, with references to the European Union AI Act. Participants agreed that enterprises must balance the rapid pace of AI innovation with robust control mechanisms to manage evolving capabilities effectively.
