Embark Studios is expanding its anti-cheat measures for the game Arc Raiders by integrating proprietary machine-learning models. These internal systems complement existing third-party solutions, specifically the kernel-level protection from Denuvo and the AI-based detection service from Anybrain.

The developer has adopted a zero-tolerance policy regarding cheating. Players caught violating the rules now face permanent bans without prior warnings. To prevent offenders from circumventing these restrictions, the studio is linking game copies to specific accounts, ensuring that any secondary accounts associated with a banned license are also permanently blocked.

Looking ahead, the company plans to implement hardware-level bans later this year to further reduce the number of repeat offenders. While this measure aims to deter cheating, the studio is evaluating the potential impact on users who purchase second-hand hardware that may have been previously flagged by the system.
