Disney has updated its user agreement for Disney+ subscribers in the UK, granting the company the right to insert advertisements into all subscription tiers. These ads will appear at the beginning and end of content, with no guarantees regarding the frequency or total volume of commercials shown to users.

The platform currently offers a premium tier priced at $18.99 per month, which previously promised an ad-free viewing experience. Under the new terms, Disney may phase out lower-cost ad-supported plans as advertisements become a standard feature across all levels of service.

The company is also implementing stricter measures against ad-blocking software. Disney+ may now prevent video playback if it detects that a user is employing an ad blocker, a policy similar to recent actions taken by YouTube to ensure ad delivery.

While these changes are currently limited to the UK market, where users must accept the updated agreement to continue accessing the service, industry observers expect this policy to expand to other regions globally in the near future.
