Destro AI, a startup specializing in software for coordinating heterogeneous warehouse robot fleets, has secured $8 million in a seed funding round. The investment was co-led by Base10 Partners and Bonfire Ventures, with participation from CoFound Partners. The company plans to allocate the capital toward research and engineering recruitment.

The startup offers a platform called MothershipOS, which manages tasks across robots from different manufacturers, and VisionOS, an AI-based system for mobile manipulation. This approach allows warehouse operators to integrate diverse hardware and replace units without being locked into a single vendor's ecosystem.

Yusen Logistics is currently deploying the platform in its operations. A facility in the Pacific Northwest is scaling from a pilot with three Miva Robotics units to a full deployment of 26 robots, while a 17-robot pilot is underway in Southern California.

Founded less than a year ago by alumni from Hai Robotics, Dexterity, and Matic Robots, the Brooklyn-based firm is already generating revenue. CEO Manthan Pawar stated that the company expects to reach cash flow positivity by the end of the year and has outperformed competitors valued at $1 billion or more in evaluations.
