Apple introduced the Apple Watch Series 12 during its autumn 2026 event. Users have noted that the device features more prominent bezels compared to the previous generation, despite the company extending the glass panel further toward the edges of the casing.
Technical data shows a reduction in screen area for both models. The 46mm version now has a display area of 1196mm², down from 1220mm² in the Series 11. The 42mm version decreased from 989mm² to 979mm². Despite these changes, the screen resolutions remain identical at 416×496 pixels and 374×446 pixels, respectively.
The physical dimensions of the watch have also been modified. The width of the casing for both models has increased by 1 millimeter. The 46mm model now measures 46×40×9.7 millimeters, while the 42mm model measures 42×37×9.7 millimeters. The thickness of the devices remains unchanged at 9.7 millimeters.
Following the release, some users expressed disappointment regarding the design changes. There is speculation among the user base that Apple might address the screen-to-body ratio in the upcoming Apple Watch Series 13.
