Denza, a premium brand under BYD, has officially launched the Z9S all-electric sedan in China. The vehicle is available in three variants, with prices starting at ¥255 800, which is significantly lower than the initial pre-sale figures announced on August 3.
The entry-level and mid-range models feature a 370 kW rear-mounted motor with a maximum range of 1,100 km under the CLTC cycle. The performance variant utilizes a tri-motor all-wheel-drive system with 890 kW output, achieving 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in 2.68 seconds.
All models are equipped with BYD's second-generation Blade Battery and flash charging technology. The system allows charging from 10% to 70% in 5 minutes and 10% to 97% in 9 minutes. The car also functions in extreme cold, charging from 20% to 97% in 12 minutes at minus 30 degrees Celsius.
The Z9S measures 5,090 mm in length and features the DiSus-A air body control system and rear-wheel steering. The interior includes a 17.3-inch display and the God's Eye 5.0 navigation system. It is the first vehicle to support Apple CarPlay small-window mode.
