Dell Technologies is expanding its cyber recovery offerings as enterprises face new risks from AI adoption. According to Simon Jelley, vice president of product management at Dell, companies must integrate resilience directly into their infrastructure architecture rather than relying solely on backups.

The company emphasizes that immutability is not equivalent to isolation. Dell utilizes a vault system to store data copies outside of production networks and primary identity privileges. This approach aims to ensure that recovery copies are free from hidden threats, such as time-bomb vulnerabilities.

Jelley noted that AI increases both the volume and value of enterprise data. As attackers leverage frontier models to exploit vulnerabilities, businesses must treat data resilience as a core operational process to maintain continuity.
