Cloud and AI security startup Upwind Security Inc. has secured $400 million in a Series C funding round, bringing its total valuation to $3.8 billion. The company reported that its revenue has quadrupled during 2026. Bessemer Venture Partners led the investment, with participation from Canapi Ventures, Cyberstarts, Greylock Partners, Craft Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, and Picture Capital.
Upwind provides a platform that analyzes runtime data from cloud workloads, APIs, and AI agents to provide unified security visibility. The system uses built-in AI agents to investigate and resolve security alerts, allowing human teams to focus on incident response. The company claims hundreds of organizations currently use its platform, including Siemens AG, Roku Inc., and Carvana Co.
The platform integrates with major cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. AWS users can access Upwind directly through the AWS Security Hub. The company intends to allocate the new capital toward product development and expanding its market presence.
The startup was founded in 2022 by Amiram Shachar and his former colleagues from Spot, a company acquired by NetApp Inc. for $450 million in 2020. To date, investors have contributed approximately $830 million to Upwind. In January 2026, the company completed a $250 million Series B round, which valued the business at $1.5 billion.
