In September 2023, the Shenzhen-based company Damoda Intelligent Control conducted a series of drone light shows in Texas, USA. The tour consisted of seven performances that utilized a total of 71,207 drone flights.
This performance volume set a new world record for the most drones launched in a single week, surpassing the previous benchmark of 55,939 flights. The event gained renewed attention recently following the viral spread of performance footage on social media.
A highlight of the tour was a display featuring 10,183 drones that formed the shape of a fire-breathing dragon. This achievement established a new world record for the largest drone-based aerial display of a mythical creature, far exceeding the previous record of 2,247 drones held by the UAE.
The dragon formation showcased complex aerial maneuvers, including the depiction of wings, claws, scales, and fire effects. The successful execution of these shows demonstrates the stability of the company's cluster control technology, communication systems, and scheduling capabilities for large-scale international events.
