Danish startup Cortas has secured €1.47 million in a pre-seed funding round. The investment was led by PSV Tech, with contributions from JRNY Capital, EIFO, and several technology founders, including those from Flatpay and Spirii.
Founded by Christian Pind Schmidt and Frederik Buchardt, the company aims to modernize property management for institutional investors. Cortas plans to develop in-house software to handle daily operations, ranging from tenant communication to financial bookkeeping.
The founders intend to use the capital to enhance their technology platform and expand their team. The company positions itself as a direct alternative to traditional property management firms by integrating AI and automated workflows into its operating model.
Cortas estimates the global property management market reached $25.15 billion in 2026. Projections suggest the sector will grow to $33.93 billion by 2030, representing an annual growth rate of 7.8 percent.
