Copenhagen-based PropTech startup Cortas has secured €1.47 million in a pre-seed funding round. The investment was led by PSV Tech, with additional participation from JRNY Capital, EIFO, and a group of tech entrepreneurs, including the founders of Flatpay and Spirii.
Founded by Christian Pind Schmidt and Frederik Buchardt, both former employees of Thylander Group, Cortas aims to integrate property management services with proprietary software. The company intends to use the new capital to enhance its technology platform and expand its team.
The startup is currently focusing on the Danish market, where the annual property management sector is valued between €270 million and €400 million. Major established players in this region include DEAS, Newest, and CEJ, which collectively hold over one-third of the market share.
Cortas describes itself as an AI-native company, though it emphasizes a service-first approach. The startup has been developing its operating model and software since June and has already signed its first property-investor clients.
