Construction robotics startups have raised $1.6 billion in venture funding through October 29, 2026. This figure marks a significant increase compared to the $389 million recorded throughout 2025 and surpasses the previous record of $506 million set in 2021.

The funding surge is driven by a small number of large deals rather than an increase in the total number of rounds. The sector recorded 30 funding rounds this year, compared to 28 in 2025. Three companies—Bedrock Robotics, Icon, and Gravis Robotics—accounted for over $1.3 billion, or approximately 83% of the total capital raised.

Bedrock Robotics secured the largest share of funding, raising $870 million across two rounds in 2026, including a $600 million Series C that valued the company at $4.1 billion. Icon raised $265 million, while Zurich-based Gravis Robotics secured $200 million in a Series A round, reaching a post-money valuation of $1 billion.

Exit activity in the sector has been primarily driven by acquisitions. Notable transactions include Procore’s acquisition of DroneDeploy for approximately $845 million, as well as the acquisitions of Canvas by JLG Industries and Teleo by HavocAI. Additionally, Atoms acquired Pronto for an undisclosed amount.

While IPOs remain rare in the construction robotics niche, the broader construction technology market saw EquipmentShare go public in January. The company raised approximately $747 million in gross proceeds by selling 30.5 million shares at a price of $24.50 per share.
