Enthusiasts have successfully ported the latest DLSS 5 neural rendering model files into games that do not officially support the technology. By extracting the nvngx_dlssnr.dll file, version 310.9.16.0, from NBA 2K27, users are replacing older versions to achieve performance gains.

Testing conducted by community member Gaming Optimized on an RTX 4060 graphics card showed a performance increase of nearly 40 percent in Forza Horizon 6. In A Plague Tale: Requiem, the same setup yielded a frame rate improvement of approximately 30 percent.

Another test performed on an RTX 4080 SUPER using 4K path tracing and DLSS performance mode resulted in a frame rate jump from 108 FPS to 150 FPS, representing a 39 percent increase. These experiments rely on the experimental OptiScaler-DLSSNR-PreSR-Multipass branch.

Experts note that these results are based on early community testing. Performance gains vary significantly depending on the specific game, hardware configuration, and driver versions. Users may also encounter compatibility issues or visual artifacts when applying these mods.
