CoinShares has officially renamed its exchange-traded product (ETP) from Toncoin Staking ETP (formerly CTON) to CoinShares Gram Staking ETP. The change became effective on June 15, 2026, following the rebranding of the underlying Toncoin (TON) token to Gram (GRAM).
The product structure remains unchanged, maintaining 100% physical backing by tokens held in reserve. Investors will continue to receive staking rewards, and no action, such as token swaps or migrations, is required from current holders.
The decision to rename the token followed a community vote held between June 1 and June 8, 2026, which saw 81.22% support for the transition to the Gram name, originally proposed in Telegram’s 2018 whitepaper.
Following the shift, competitor 21Shares also rebranded its own ETP on June 16, 2026. The firm updated its ticker from TONN to GRAM, confirming that the product specifications and underlying assets remain the same.
