Aviva Investors has launched a tokenized share class for its Sterling Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger. This move follows the July introduction of a tokenized USD Liquidity Fund, marking the company's second such initiative.

The Sterling Liquidity Fund is the firm's largest, managing approximately £22 billion in assets. Across both tokenized share classes, Aviva Investors has secured over £86 million in total investments.

The company invested £50 million into the new sterling-denominated offering. This development positions Aviva Investors as one of the largest providers of tokenized money market funds in Europe.

The fund utilizes a digital twin structure, allowing holdings to be represented on the blockchain while maintaining the original off-chain framework. It remains an Ireland-domiciled UCITS fund.

The initiative is supported by institutional custodian Komainu and digital infrastructure provider Licuido. The Bank of New York Mellon continues to serve as the custodian for the fund's underlying assets.
