Cisco Systems unveiled a significant expansion of its Webex platform at the WebexOne event in Austin, Texas. The updates focus on integrating AI agents into team workflows, meeting-room hardware, and customer service operations. Most of these new features are scheduled for release in early 2027.
The redesigned Webex interface now offers personalized views of meetings and priorities. New AI agents can participate in calls to handle scheduling, note-taking, and translation. Cisco is integrating Anthropic’s Claude and OpenAI’s Dots into the platform to support content generation and task coordination.
The new Dialog software layer connects customer history with enterprise systems to enable continuous service interactions. Cisco plans to launch the beta version of Dialog in the first quarter of 2027. Additionally, the AI Agent 360 platform will receive Splunk-based observability features in December.
Cisco is also updating its physical office solutions. The Workplace Designer tool assists with facility planning, while the Cloud Control platform unifies network and security management. RoomOS 27, arriving in November, adds native Google Meet support and AI-driven audio enhancements.
The company introduced the Cisco Ceiling Speaker Pro, which uses spatial audio technology to track and distribute voices. The device is expected to be available for order later this quarter. These updates aim to connect AI agents with enterprise data and physical workplace infrastructure.
