The real estate platform Cian, in partnership with VR Inclusion and the Samolet Group, has launched a VR training project called First Apartment. The initiative is designed to help children and teenagers with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) develop independent living skills.

The virtual environment simulates a typical residential complex, including apartments, entrances, and elevators, based on Samolet Group designs. This allows participants to practice daily routines and social interactions in a safe, controlled setting, reducing the need for specialized physical facilities.

The program is currently available to beneficiaries of over 50 non-profit organizations across 15 Russian regions. The course consists of 10 sessions, and initial testing has already yielded positive feedback from 5 participating organizations.

Cian also conducted a survey on public perceptions of autism. Results showed that 28% of respondents would avoid sharing an elevator with an autistic person, while 42% would feel more comfortable if a caregiver were present. The project includes an awareness campaign to promote neighborly relations.
