Rostelecom has introduced a new access control tool for its 'Rostelecom Key' digital platform, replacing traditional magnetic keys with adhesive stickers. These stickers contain a microchip and can be attached to smartphones or other personal items.

The pilot project was launched in the Primorsky Territory, specifically in residential complexes in Vladivostok, Nakhodka, and Zima Yuzhnaya. A total of 450 stickers were distributed to residents of the Zhuravli, Format, and Tri Bogatyrya complexes.

The stickers operate autonomously and do not require power from a smartphone, ensuring access even if the phone battery is depleted. Users link the stickers to their accounts within the Rostelecom Key mobile application.

The Rostelecom Key platform is a domestic software solution registered with the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia. It is hosted in Tier III data centers operated by Rostelecom-DPC.
