ByteDance, Alibaba, and Tencent have placed orders for more than 3 million Nvidia RTX PRO 5500 graphics cards. The total value of these orders is estimated at over $35 billion, with each unit priced at approximately $11,400.

Total demand from Chinese customers for the RTX PRO 5500 has exceeded 6 million units. However, Nvidia has planned a total global production capacity of only around 3 million units for 2027, which must serve all international markets.

Nvidia estimates that actual fulfillment for Chinese orders may reach only 5 to 10 percent of the requested volume. The RTX PRO 5500 is primarily designed for AI inference, as US export controls restrict access to advanced chips like the Blackwell B300.

The significant gap between order volume and manufacturing capacity highlights the impact of US export regulations on the hardware market. Chinese tech firms are focusing their procurement on available hardware tiers to maintain AI service operations.
