The VELLINK digital subway train, developed by CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles in collaboration with Chengdu Rail Transit Group, has been officially unveiled. It is recognized as the first embodied AI-powered digital subway train in China, capable of proactive operational optimization and intelligent decision-making.

The train features a functional domain architecture that reduces control host hardware by 50% and optimizes wiring by 30%. By reconfiguring the power supply and air conditioning systems, the manufacturer achieved a 9% increase in power efficiency. The design integrates structural, ventilation, and insulation functions into the roof and air ducts.

Engineers utilized lightweight materials such as carbon fiber, magnesium-aluminum alloys, and polycarbonate to reduce the total vehicle weight by 18%. The integration of permanent magnet traction systems and silicon carbide converters contributes to a total energy saving rate exceeding 10% and a 15% reduction in carbon emissions over the train's lifecycle.

Equipped with radar, high-definition cameras, and sensors, the train uses a multimodal perception model to monitor track conditions and equipment status. Powered by the Zhuolun AI model and an onboard edge computing platform, the system autonomously determines driving strategies and manages real-time operations.
