The China Internet Network Information Center and the National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team (CNCERT/CC) launched a joint secure DNS service on September 15. The announcement took place during the 23rd China Network Security Annual Conference.
The secure DNS service functions as a public domain name resolution tool. It uses national databases and threat intelligence to identify and block malicious domains and phishing sites. Users do not need complex terminal configurations to activate the protection.
The service aims to mitigate risks such as DNS hijacking, phishing, and various covert network attacks. It also analyzes gray-listed domains to improve the detection and handling of APT groups and illegal cyber activities, supporting critical infrastructure security.
Additionally, the organizations introduced a Network Security Capability Sharing Platform. This platform includes four initial services: secure DNS, secure cloud, malicious sample detection, and CNVD compliance testing.
The secure cloud service provides real-time threat intelligence updates and automated encryption certificate management. The malicious sample detection tool aggregates multi-vendor analysis engines to provide authoritative judgments, aiming to reduce reliance on foreign platforms.
The CNVD compliance testing service evaluates whether network security products utilize comprehensive and standardized vulnerability data. It facilitates data interoperability and collaborative vulnerability handling across different products and industries.
