Smart-Soft has released a series of updates for its Traffic Inspector Next Generation (TING) solution, covering versions 1.14.7 through 1.14.9. The current version, 1.14.9, is built on the OPNsense 24.7.9 stable branch. These releases focus on infrastructure enhancements, security hardening, and preparing the system for future updates.

The updates include a significant expansion of the trusted certificate store, featuring a refactored CRL management system and updated OpenSSL templates. Security improvements involve upgrading OpenSSH to version 9.9p1 and incorporating FreeBSD security patches to address memory allocation and file descriptor issues. Drivers for Intel ixgbe, igb, igc, and e1000 have also been patched.

New functionality includes the os-ndproxy 1.0 plugin, which enables ND-message proxying for IPv6 /64 prefix delegation, and the os-wazuh-agent plugin for security monitoring integration. Interface updates provide new options for IPsec and OpenVPN, alongside a reorganized Intrusion Detection page and improved system status graphing.

The update package includes refreshed versions of core components such as unbound 1.22.0, monit 5.34.2, syslog-ng 4.8.1, and php 8.2.25. Various plugins, including os-caddy, os-ddclient, and os-frr, have also been updated. Users can install these releases via the built-in Update Center, excluding versions certified by the FSTEC of Russia.
