The launch took place on September 17 at 10:40 Beijing time from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The mission successfully deployed the SpaceTY-51 and SpaceTY-52 remote sensing satellites into orbit.
The Kuaizhou-11 vehicle, developed by the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, carried out the mission. This four-stage solid-fuel rocket measures 25 meters in length and generates a starting thrust of 1,250 kN.
The rocket is capable of delivering up to 1.5 tons of payload to low Earth orbit or 1 ton to a sun-synchronous orbit at an altitude of 700 kilometers. This flight marks the seventh mission for the Kuaizhou-11 and its third launch in 2026.
China continues to expand its space program, which includes meteorological, communication, and navigation satellite systems, as well as lunar and planetary exploration projects. In 2025, the country completed a record-breaking 92 space launches.
