Brussels-based fintech startup Chift has secured €10.5 million in a Series A funding round led by BlackFin Capital Partners. Existing investors, including Entourage, Shapers, Seeder Fund, and Wallonie Entreprendre, also participated in the round. This investment brings the total capital raised by the company to approximately €12.8 million, following a €2.3 million seed round in 2024.

Founded in 2022 by Gauthier Henroz, Henry Hertoghe, and Matthieu Hertoghe, Chift provides a unified API that connects software platforms to over 120 financial systems. These include accounting, invoicing, e-commerce, and point-of-sale tools. The company currently employs 35 people and serves clients such as Pennylane, Revolut, Qonto, and Mollie.

The company plans to use the new funds to expand its footprint across major European markets and develop AI-driven integrations. These automated features aim to remove the need for manual configuration. Chift intends to become the leading financial connectivity platform in Europe by 2028, focusing specifically on the complexities of continental European accounting systems.

The demand for such infrastructure is driven by new EU e-invoicing regulations, which require small and medium-sized enterprises to digitize financial operations. Market analysis suggests that the European embedded finance sector could exceed $116 billion by 2030, while the B2B SaaS embedded finance market has an addressable revenue potential of $185 billion.
