Chery has unveiled the Omoda X, a new SUV concept presented at the International User Summit in Wuhu, China. The vehicle features a rugged design inspired by mecha culture, characterized by angular bodywork, 19-inch alloy wheels, and distinct LED lighting graphics.
The SUV measures 4,650 mm in length and is designed to compete with models like the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V. It offers a ground clearance of 200 mm, a wading depth exceeding 700 mm, and a towing capacity of 1,800 kg.
A key technical feature is the infrared thermal imaging night vision system, capable of detecting pedestrians and wildlife at distances up to 90 m. The interior includes a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a 13.2-inch infotainment screen, and 39 storage compartments.
The Omoda X will be available in fully electric and plug-in hybrid configurations, with both front-wheel and all-wheel-drive options. The vehicle also incorporates an X-Mode system for performance adjustments and is expected to be sold in international markets.
