BYD has officially opened blind reservations for the second-generation Seal 07 electric sedan. Customers who place a deposit receive priority for production and delivery, with the option to change vehicle configurations or receive a full refund before the final order lock-in.
The new model measures 5,080 mm in length with a 2,960 mm wheelbase, making it 85 mm longer than the previous version. It is equipped with the second-generation Blade Battery and flash charging technology, which the company claims can provide a full charge in 9 minutes.
Technical specifications include the DiSus-M intelligent magnetorheological body control system and a choice of two motor outputs for the battery-electric version: 245 kW and 300 kW. A plug-in hybrid variant with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and a 38.029-kWh battery is also planned.
The interior features zero-gravity seats with massage and ventilation, alongside a 20-speaker Devialet audio system. The vehicle includes a 618-liter rear trunk and a 160-liter front trunk. BYD has not yet disclosed pricing or specific driver-assistance details for the new trims.
