Following the release of its third-quarter financial report on October 31, Chery Automobile executives held a discussion with the media. Jin Yibo, spokesperson for Chery Holding Group, addressed the company's strategic positioning and its current standing in the new energy vehicle sector.
Jin Yibo stated that Chery currently ranks among the top three new energy vehicle manufacturers in China and the top five globally. He emphasized that even if the company were to exclude its internal combustion engine vehicle business, it would still qualify as a major player in the new energy market.
The spokesperson noted that while the company is often perceived as a traditional automaker, it has been steadily shifting its focus. Chery initiated its push toward intelligent technologies in 2022 and is now actively transitioning into a technology-focused ecosystem company, as highlighted during its annual global innovation conference.
