At the 2026 Chery Global Innovation Conference, the company detailed the rollout of its Xunlong fast-charging technology. First introduced in March, the system allows a vehicle to gain 500 kilometers of range in 5 minutes, or charge from 10% to 97% in 6 minutes and 50 seconds.

The charging infrastructure utilizes flexible high-temperature superconducting cable technology. This design incorporates a compact superconducting spiral structure, full-link heat leakage management, and liquid nitrogen constant temperature control to achieve high current capacity with zero loss.

Chery plans to expand its network of fast-charging stations by the end of this year in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hefei, and Wuhu. By 2029, the company aims to establish a global presence with 20,000 charging stations.

The company also announced plans for V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) technology. The feature will debut in the first half of 2027 on the Fengyun A9 electric model to support large-scale commercial operations.

During a demonstration with the Fengyun A9, the vehicle discharged 24 kWh of electricity, generating a revenue of ¥39. The company noted that potential earnings can exceed ¥1 per kWh.
