Chery unveiled its Ziwei chip family on October 20, covering three main categories: C-series central computing chips, S-series silicon carbide automotive components, and M-series control microchips. The company also introduced five packaging options for its vehicle lineup.
The flagship Ziwei C100 chip supports local physical AI. In a dual-chip configuration, it delivers 1000 thousand DMIPS and 2400 TOPS of NPU performance with a memory bandwidth of 600 GB/s. This platform is designed to run a 100-billion-parameter physical world model.
The Ziwei S1500 power chip uses silicon carbide and supports 1500 V, which the company claims is the highest voltage class in the industry. It features a peak output current of 1450 A, a maximum operating temperature of 200 degrees Celsius, and a peak efficiency of at least 99.6 percent.
The S1500 chip meets ASIL-D functional safety standards and will be integrated into electric drive systems. Chery has already moved to mass production of these components using 8-inch silicon wafers to reduce manufacturing costs.
While the company detailed the C and S series, it did not provide technical specifications for the M-series control chips or the five newly introduced packaging variants.
