The Swiss medtech startup Connected Health Development (CHD) secured €160 000 (CHF 150 000) in funding from Venture Kick. This capital injection is part of the company's initial seed round, which CHD expects to finalize by October with additional support from private investors and a foundation.

CHD is developing the MONI2 system, a remote monitoring solution for high-risk pregnancies. The technology utilizes a washable smart textile belt to capture maternal and fetal ECG data, uterine contractions, and fetal movement. Patients view health indicators via a mobile app, while clinicians access data through a secure web portal.

The company intends to release both consumer and medical versions of the MONI2 hardware. CHD aims to reach sales of over 30 000 units and subscriptions within four years. The current funding will be directed toward the development, testing, and clinical validation of the platform ahead of its commercial launch.
