Changan has launched the Nevo Q06 crossover in China with a starting price of ¥139 000, or $20 880. The vehicle, designed by former Volkswagen design chief Klaus Zyciora, is available in both battery electric (BEV) and extended-range (EREV) configurations. It measures 4837 mm in length and features a 2940 mm wheelbase.
The BEV version offers three powertrain options with power outputs ranging from 225 kW to 330 kW and battery capacities of 66 kWh or 80 kWh. The top-tier dual-motor variant accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. The EREV model pairs a 1.5-liter engine generator with dual electric motors, delivering 270 kW and a 5.8-second acceleration time.
The interior includes a 15.6-inch touchscreen, a 9.5-liter fridge, and seats with massage and zero-gravity modes. Cabin materials are 90.6% soft-touch. The vehicle is equipped with a roof-mounted LiDAR, 11 cameras, and three mm-wave radars, supported by a 560 TOPS processor. It features automatic emergency braking and steering systems.
The Q06 provides 782 liters of trunk space, expandable to 2,200 liters. The BEV model includes an additional 196-liter front compartment. The crossover is positioned to compete with the BYD Song Ultra, which is priced between ¥129 900 and ¥179 900. BYD reported sales of 58 362 units for the Song Ultra between March and August 2026.
