Cancore, a provider of cross-chain settlement infrastructure for the Canton Network, has raised $7.2 million in a seed funding round. The investment round saw participation from several firms, including Paper Ventures, dao5, ArkStream Capital, X Ventures, MH Ventures, and Proof of Talk.

The platform facilitates the exchange of Canton-based assets for assets on public blockchains without the need for centralized exchanges or wrapped tokens. It utilizes an atomic-swap mechanism that allows users to maintain control of their signing keys. Current supported networks include Ethereum, BNB Chain, Arbitrum One, and Robinhood Chain.

Since its launch on the Canton mainnet in April 2026, the protocol has processed over 84,000 trades, resulting in a cumulative volume exceeding $53 million. The company reported protocol revenue of more than $538,000 as of October 1.

The company is currently developing AI-powered trading features via an MCP server, which will allow users to automate trading strategies and delegate execution to AI agents. These tools are intended to assist with portfolio rebalancing and capital allocation across various liquidity venues.

The newly acquired capital will be directed toward expanding support for additional blockchain networks and liquidity sources. Furthermore, the company plans to invest in enhancing its security, settlement infrastructure, and agentic trading capabilities across its existing Canton, EVM, and Tron connections.
