BYD has launched the 2027 Yuan UP Feichi Edition in China, known internationally as the Atto 2. The updated compact electric crossover introduces a new 501 km CLTC range version, powered by a 51.13 kWh Blade Battery from FinDreams Battery. The lineup now exclusively features a 70 kW front-mounted permanent-magnet motor, replacing the previous 130 kW option.

The starting price for the model remains at ¥74 800, which is approximately $11 154. Eligible buyers can reduce the entry price to ¥69 800, or $10 410, by utilizing a trade-in subsidy of up to ¥5 000, or $750. Additionally, the manufacturer offers launch benefits valued at up to ¥11 199, or $1 670.

The vehicle is built on the e-Platform 3.0 and supports DC fast charging, which allows the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes. The exterior dimensions remain unchanged at 4 310 mm in length and 2 620 mm in wheelbase. New features include Energetic Yellow and Oxygen Blue paint options and 17-inch low-drag alloy wheels on higher trim levels.

Interior updates include a steering-column gear selector, a 50W wireless phone charger, and a redesigned two-spoke steering wheel. The cabin features the DiLink 100 system with a 12.8-inch rotatable touchscreen and an 8.8-inch driver display. Advanced driver assistance is provided by the DiPilot C suite, which supports highway navigation and automated parking.

Sales performance for the Yuan UP has shown growth, with 22 958 units sold domestically in August 2026. This figure represents a 13.2% increase compared to July 2026 and a 16.9% rise year-on-year. The model faces competition from other compact electric crossovers in the Chinese market, such as the Geely Xingyuan.
