BYD has unveiled the new Island Blue color option for its third-generation Qin PLUS sedan. The vehicle features a fastback design and distinctive full-width taillights inspired by traditional Chinese knots, as showcased by Lu Tian, general manager of the BYD Dynasty sales division.
The electric sedan measures 4,840 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,498 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. It is powered by a TZ164XYD permanent magnet synchronous motor, manufactured by Fuzhou BYD Industrial, which delivers a peak power of 100 kW and a rated power of 40 kW.
The vehicle utilizes a lithium iron phosphate battery pack. The battery cells are produced by Guiyang FinDreams Battery, while the assembly is handled by Xiangyang FinDreams Battery. The braking system, specifically the IPB model, is supplied by FinDreams Powertrain. The car is expected to hit the market in late October.
