BYD has officially unveiled the exterior design of the second-generation Seal 07 sedan. The new model is positioned as a mid-to-large-size family vehicle and will be available in both electric and plug-in hybrid versions.

The sedan measures 5,080 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,960 mm. These dimensions make the new generation 85 mm longer and 50 mm wider than the previous model, with a wheelbase extended by 60 mm.

Regulatory filings from the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology indicate that the electric variant will feature peak motor outputs of 245 kW and 300 kW. Both electric versions are equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries and reach a top speed of 240 km/h.

The vehicle features a fastback profile, semi-concealed door handles, and a roof-mounted LiDAR system. The plug-in hybrid version of the lineup will continue to be marketed under the Seal 07 DM-i name.
