BYD addressed investor inquiries regarding potential price hikes for its fast-charging vehicle models. The company stated that its pricing strategy is determined by a combination of market competition, consumer demand, long-term brand positioning, and production capacity scaling.
The primary focus for BYD is currently accelerating the production ramp-up of its second-generation Blade battery. This initiative aims to improve delivery timelines and ensure a better purchasing experience for customers amid strong demand for its fast-charging lineup.
As of September 24, BYD has deployed 2,000 fast-charging stations along highways, covering 278 expressways across China. The network includes full coverage of 22 major national arterial routes, such as the Beijing-Shanghai and Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau expressways.
The company's total infrastructure footprint reached 11,586 fast-charging stations across 341 cities by late September. BYD has set a strategic target to expand this network to 20,000 stations by the end of 2026.
