BYD has scheduled the official launch of its new flagship sedan, the Da Han, for October 13. The model is designed to strengthen the premium segment of the company's Dynasty lineup, positioning itself above the current Han sedan.
Pre-sales for the battery-electric version began on August 21 during the Chengdu Auto Show. Customers can choose between two rear-wheel-drive variants, offering a CLTC range of 1,008 kilometers, and one all-wheel-drive variant with a range of 880 kilometers.
Pricing for the electric models ranges from ¥249 900 to ¥299 900. The vehicle measures 5,256 mm in length and features a wheelbase of 3,130 mm. Standard equipment includes DiSus-A dual-chamber air suspension, rear-wheel steering, and a LiDAR-based driver-assistance system.
The rear-wheel-drive version is equipped with a 370 kW motor, while the all-wheel-drive variant adds a 200 kW front motor for a combined output of 570 kW. A plug-in hybrid version is also expected, featuring a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and a 54.489-kWh battery.
