BYD is set to release a new tri-motor variant of its luxury Denza Z9 GT model on September 9. This addition aims to bridge the price gap between the existing Performance and Flagship RWD versions. The new configuration is expected to retail for approximately $50,000, or ¥339 900.

The Denza Z9 GT is built on the BYD e3 platform and features the Blade Battery 2.0 with Flash Charging technology. This system allows the battery to charge from 10% to 70% in 5 minutes. The vehicle is available in both fully electric and plug-in hybrid versions, with power outputs reaching up to 850 kW, or 1,140 hp, in tri-motor models.

The vehicle measures 5,195 mm in length, 1,990 mm in width, and 1,480 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,125 mm. The current Flagship RWD model starts at ¥299 800, while the e3 Performance version begins at ¥369 800. In Germany, the model is currently priced starting at €115 000.

Denza general manager Li Hui stated that the Z9 GT has been the top-selling luxury GT in China for several months. While the model is currently sold in markets including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and the UK, BYD plans to expand availability to 30 countries by the end of 2026. It remains unconfirmed if the new variant will reach European markets.
