BMW is restructuring its global product portfolio to focus on high-return models while introducing a new, larger SUV specifically for the US market. This upcoming vehicle will be positioned above the current X7 in the company's lineup, with production expected to leverage the capacity of the Spartanburg facility in South Carolina.

The manufacturer intends to reduce its total number of variants, confirming that the 2 Series Active Tourer will be discontinued. Further adjustments to the lineup may affect older models like the i4 and iX. Additionally, the company plans to integrate artificial intelligence across its development, manufacturing, and sales processes.

In China, BMW aims to localize production significantly, targeting a 95 percent share of locally manufactured and developed vehicles for the Chinese market by 2030. This initiative will coincide with the broader rollout of the Neue Klasse technology platform across its global vehicle segments.

The company is also expanding its luxury offerings, with the first model under the Alpina brand scheduled for release next year. Positioned between the standard BMW range and Rolls-Royce, this vehicle draws inspiration from the 7 Series. Furthermore, a new entry-level electric model is planned for Europe in 2028.
