Edinburgh and Boston-based startup Bioliberty has secured €2.95 million in a Series A extension round. This brings the company's total funding to €12.07 million. The new capital follows previous rounds totaling €9.12 million.
The funding round attracted four new institutional investors: TGH Ventures, Ballad Ventures, Whiterock, and 25m Health. Bioliberty was established in 2020 by Rowan Armstrong, Ross O’Hanlon, Conan Bradley, and Shéa Quinn.
The company develops soft-robotic rehabilitation tools for upper-extremity recovery. Its product suite includes the Lifehub control center, the Lifeglov wearable, and the Lifemind data dashboard. These tools utilize AI to assist with therapy and clinical documentation.
Bioliberty launched commercially in the United States in 2025, with Lifehub and Lifeglov receiving FDA listing. The company previously conducted a clinical study with the Mount Sinai health system in 2024.
The startup plans to use the new funds to expand its technology into home environments, integrate patient data across care settings, and enhance its AI capabilities for clinical decision support.
