Avito has launched a pilot program called Avito Neighbors, designed to connect users with local service providers and affordable goods within their immediate vicinity. The service is currently accessible to approximately 5 million users across Russia who have registered their addresses in their profiles.

The platform features service providers who have already been hired by nearby residents and have earned high ratings. This system allows users to select professionals based on local recommendations, eliminating the need to consult community chat groups. The search radius is dynamic, ranging from several dozen to several hundred meters depending on local population density and service type.

During the testing phase, the service covers various sectors including home repairs, cleaning, logistics, appliance maintenance, tutoring, childcare, and photography. The section is integrated into the main page of Avito Services, category pages, and search results.

The company also intends to introduce a feature for listing items that neighbors are willing to give away for free or sell for a maximum of 500 rubles. These items are intended for local pickup without delivery costs. According to Avito, one in five users currently relies on neighbor recommendations when searching for specialists.
