Austrian Airlines has officially launched Starlink satellite internet on its aircraft. The first equipped Airbus A320neo flew from Vienna to Porto, marking the start of a fleet-wide rollout. Passengers can now access high-speed Wi-Fi at altitudes of approximately 38,000 feet, or 11.6 km, with low latency for streaming and work.
The airline plans to equip 20 aircraft by the end of the winter schedule for 2026/27. Following this initial phase, the technology will be gradually integrated across the entire fleet. This move aligns with other major European carriers transitioning to Starlink services.
