The Audi Q7 has achieved a perfect score of 100% in the Euro NCAP Post-Crash Safety category, becoming the first production vehicle to reach this milestone. The SUV also secured a five-star overall safety rating in tests published on October 14, 2026.

The Post-Crash Safety evaluation focuses on emergency communication, data transmission to rescue teams, and post-accident accessibility. The Q7 earned top marks for its ability to transmit vehicle data, support rescue operations, and provide cabin access after a collision.

Key safety features include the Audi connect emergency call system, which automatically alerts rescue services with location and impact details. The vehicle also features a multi-collision braking system that triggers hazard lights and the parking brake to prevent secondary impacts.

Euro NCAP also assessed rescue practicalities, such as door unlocking mechanisms, access to passengers during power failures, and seatbelt buckle functionality. The model, available in five, six, and seven-seat configurations, provides specialized rescue guides for emergency personnel.

In other safety metrics, the Q7 scored 88% for occupant protection, with high marks in side-impact tests despite some noted chest load concerns during frontal collisions. Driver assistance systems, designed to prevent accidents with pedestrians or cyclists, received a 77% rating.
