ASML has officially begun construction on a new campus at Brainport Industries Campus Noord near Eindhoven. The site covers approximately 100 hectares and will eventually house up to 20,000 employees. The facility will include 428,000 square meters of cleanrooms and offices.

The first group of around 5,000 employees is expected to move in by early 2028. Zoning and environmental permits were granted in March 2026, with preparatory work starting shortly after. The acquisition of over 15 hectares of land cost roughly €13.6 million, while additional expansion costs have risen to an estimated €256 million.

The campus is part of Project Beethoven, a regional initiative allocating €2.5 billion for housing and infrastructure improvements in the Brainport region. Meanwhile, ASML has announced plans to cut approximately 1,700 jobs, implementing retention incentives for critical talent during this transition.

The company's EUV lithography machines, which cost over $350 million each, are essential for leading-edge semiconductor manufacturing. ASML reported record revenue of €32.7 billion for 2025, driven by the demand for AI chips.
