Shanghai ArrowSpace Technology has officially established its headquarters in the Qingpu District of Shanghai, specifically within the West Hongqiao area. The company specializes in the development of reusable stainless steel liquid oxygen-methane rockets, positioning itself as a key player in the domestic commercial space sector.
The firm's flagship product, the Yuanxingzhe-1 rocket, is designed to provide high-frequency, high-capacity, and cost-effective launch services for large-scale satellite constellations. It utilizes a reusable design that aims to address the growing demand for orbital deployment.
In May 2025, the company successfully tested high-altitude re-entry ignition and hovering technologies for the first stage of the vehicle, achieving a soft landing at sea. This test verified critical capabilities including engine restart, return guidance control, and low-altitude deceleration.
As of October 21, the company completed integrated hot-fire tests for the first and second-stage engines and servo mechanisms. The tests confirmed the coordination and reliability of the systems under simulated flight conditions, with all measured parameters meeting design specifications.
The company is currently finalizing preparations for its first orbital launch. The Yuanxingzhe-1 rocket is scheduled to be ready for its maiden flight by the end of 2026.
