Kevin Mandia, the founder of Mandiant, has secured $255.5 million for his new cybersecurity venture, Armadin. The company reached a valuation exceeding $2.5 billion following this Series B funding round. This investment follows a $190 million Series A round completed in March, bringing the total capital raised by the startup to over $445 million.
The latest financing round was led by Andreessen Horowitz and Accel. Additional participants included Bain Capital Ventures, Redpoint, 8VC, Ballistic Ventures, Google Ventures, In-Q-Tel, Kleiner Perkins, and Menlo Ventures. The company achieved this valuation just six months after its initial Series A funding.
Armadin focuses on enterprise security by deploying agentic swarms designed to perform continuous defense testing. Unlike traditional penetration testing, which relies on manual assessments, the platform uses autonomous agents to identify and chain vulnerabilities. This approach aims to help organizations address security gaps before they are exploited by external threats or rogue AI agents.
