Paris-based startup Arlequin AI has secured €28 million in a Series A funding round. The investment was co-led by redalpine and OTB Ventures, with support from Bpifrance’s Defence Innovation Fund. Existing backers Vsquared Ventures and 10x Founders increased their investment, and entrepreneur Xavier Niel also joined the round.

Founded in 2024 by Hugo Micheron and Antoine Jardin, the company specializes in topological neural networks. This architecture is designed to analyze relationships between data points, such as documents, transactions, and video, to help organizations interpret complex datasets. The platform allows users to trace results back to the original evidence.

The company intends to use the new capital to expand its international team and support commercial deployment. Arlequin AI has already opened offices in London and Berlin and plans to launch an AI lab in Silicon Valley. The technology is currently utilized by governments and large organizations across Europe.

Arlequin AI claims its approach requires less computing power than traditional large-scale models, reducing reliance on energy-intensive infrastructure. The company targets applications in sectors including security, defense, fraud detection, and cybersecurity.
