Volgograd-based company Aqua-Volga is scaling up the production of high-density polyethylene hulls for its Avatar series of unmanned catamarans. The expansion is supported by the Center for Unmanned Systems and Technologies (CUST) through its special-purpose project accelerator.
The Avatar platform features a modular design, allowing for adjustments to the vessel's size, buoyancy configuration, and propulsion systems. This architecture enables the integration of various specialized equipment tailored to specific operational requirements.
The catamarans have undergone testing for multiple configurations, including engine and control system performance. These vessels offer a payload capacity ranging from 100 to 500 kilograms. The electric propulsion system supports speeds up to 15 km/h with an endurance of up to eight hours.
