Apple has released a new firmware update, version 9A348, for its AirPods Pro 3 and other compatible headphone models. This update coincides with the official launch of the iOS 27 operating system.
The 9A348 firmware introduces several exclusive features for the AirPods Pro 3. These include customizable equalizer settings, integration with Siri AI, precise location tracking via Apple Watch, and GymKit support. Users will also notice a redesigned settings interface for their devices.
Furthermore, Apple is preparing a separate firmware update, version 9A350, for the AirPods 5. These headphones feature a new multi-hole acoustic architecture and next-generation adaptive equalization technology designed to enhance sound immersion.
The AirPods 5 are equipped with a noise-cancellation system that operates without traditional ear tips. According to company data, this technology reduces external noise by up to 50 percent more effectively than the AirPods 4. Additionally, the device supports head-gesture controls for Siri interactions.
